1. What these Terms cover

These Terms govern this website. They are not your construction contract. If you hire us, your project is governed by the written contract you sign, and where these Terms and that contract differ, the signed contract controls.

Using adadremodel.com means you accept these Terms. Nothing on this page is a condition of getting a quote from us by phone.

2. Who you are contracting with

The contracting party is Advanced Design & Development, Inc., the holder of Nevada contractor licence 0077896A.

  • Address: 1155 Watson Way, Suite 7, Sparks, NV 89431
  • Phone: (775) 200-0648, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Email: info@adadremodel.com
  • Nevada contractor licence: 0077896A
  • Licence classifications: B-1 Premanufactured Housing, B-2 Residential and Small Commercial, B-3 Speculative Building
  • Licence monetary limit: $3,300,000

The monetary limit is here on purpose: NRS 624.970(2)(a) requires it in a residential improvement contract, and a site advertising whole-house scope should say what the record permits. Check all of it yourself against the Nevada State Contractors Board’s public record, using the licence number above, not the brand name.

3. Estimates and quotes

  1. A form submission is an inquiry. It is not an offer, not a contract, and not a reservation of a price or a place in the schedule.
  2. Any figure produced by a cost calculator or budgeting tool on this site is an illustration, not a quote, and binds neither of us.
  3. A written estimate we issue is valid for 30 days from its date. After that we will re-price it. Material and freight pricing moves, and an open-ended quote is a promise we could not keep.
  4. An estimate assumes the conditions visible at the site visit. Concealed conditions (rot, failed sheathing, non-compliant framing, undisclosed asbestos or lead) are handled by written change order under section 6, never by silent price movement.
  5. A binding agreement exists only when both parties sign a written contract containing every element NRS 624.970(2) requires.

4. Your right to cancel

Federal. If you sign at your home, the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule (16 C.F.R. pt. 429) gives you until midnight of the third business day to cancel a sale of $25 or more made at your residence ($130 or more for sales made at a temporary location away from the seller’s normal place of business). Your contract will include the written notice and the cancellation form the rule requires.

Nevada. NRS 598.230 separately lets the buyer of a door-to-door sale of $25 or more rescind by written notice delivered or mailed no later than midnight of the third business day after the contract was signed.

These are two different rules with two different triggers. Whichever applies, we honour it, and neither is waived by anything on this page.

5. Deposits and payment

NRS 624.970(2)(g) requires a residential improvement contract to state, and caps, any initial down payment:

“…the amount, not to exceed $1,000 or 10 percent of the aggregate contract price, whichever is less, of any initial down payment or deposit paid or promised to be paid to the residential contractor by the owner before the start of the work.”

The same paragraph continues that the cap “do[es] not apply if the residential contractor has filed with the Board a bond solely for the protection of consumers in the amount of $100,000 or has been granted relief by the Board pursuant to subsection 5 of NRS 624.270.”

NRS 624.970(2)(g)

Progress payments. NRS 624.970(2)(k) ties them to stages of construction: other than the initial down payment, we may never receive more than 100 percent of the value of the work performed at any point, excluding finance charges, unless a payment and performance bond covering full completion has been furnished and its cost included in the price. Our draw schedules are written to that rule: each draw attaches to a milestone you can look at, and the final draw is released after the punch list is signed.

Scope limiter. These statutory protections apply to work on an owner-occupied single-family residence. Commercial, multi-family and HOA contracts are governed by their own negotiated terms (NRS 624.970(1), (7)(b) to (d)).

6. Change orders

Any change in the scope or price must be agreed in writing and incorporated into the original contract as a change order, and “a change order is not enforceable against the owner … unless the change order sets forth all changes in the scope and price of the work and is accepted by the owner.”

NRS 624.970(2)(i)

So: no verbal change orders, ever. No work proceeds on a changed scope until a written change order stating the full change in scope and the full change in price is signed by both of us. A change order we did not write down is a change order you do not owe.

7. Warranties

Manufacturer warranties are the manufacturer’s. Products we install (including Alside, Andersen, Codel, James Hardie, Jeld-Wen and LP SmartSide lines) carry warranties issued by those manufacturers, on their terms, and enforceable against them. We register your products and hand you the paperwork at completion. We do not extend, enlarge, shorten or guarantee a manufacturer’s warranty, and nothing we say about one changes it.

Our workmanship warranty is our own and covers installation labour only. Its length and terms are stated in your signed contract: one year on our own workmanship, covering installation labour.

Neither warranty covers: acts of nature beyond normal weather; misuse, modification or unauthorised repair after completion; pre-existing conditions disclosed in writing before the work began; or normal wear and aesthetic change within the manufacturer’s stated tolerance.

We make no guarantee of a dollar outcome and no guarantee of energy savings.

8. The Contractors Board and the Residential Recovery Fund

Your contract will include the notice and informational form required by NRS 624.520 and NRS 624.600 (NRS 624.970(2)(h)). If you have a dispute you cannot resolve with us, you may contact the Nevada State Contractors Board, and you may be eligible to file a claim against the Residential Recovery Fund (NRS 624.400 to 624.560).

Nothing in these Terms or in your contract waives that right. NRS 624.970(5) makes any contract provision that requires a person to waive a right given by chapter 624, or that relieves anyone of an obligation imposed by it, void. We would rather point you at that than have you discover it during an argument.

9. Disputes, governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Nevada. Venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts sitting in Washoe County, Nevada.

There is no mandatory arbitration clause here, and that is deliberate. A clause wide enough to sweep in chapter 624 remedies would be void under NRS 624.970(5) anyway, so it would sit on the page looking enforceable while being unenforceable. Nothing in this section waives any right you have under NRS chapter 624.

10. Using this website

You may read, print and share the pages of this site for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape it, republish it as your own, use it to send unsolicited messages, attempt to breach it, or submit a form on behalf of someone who has not asked you to.

11. Intellectual property

The text, drawings, diagrams, layout and code on this site are ours or are used with permission, and the technical illustrations were drawn for this site. Product and manufacturer names are the trademarks of their owners; we name them because we install their products, which is nominative use and not a claim of affiliation, endorsement or programme membership.

12. Website content is provided as is

Codes, permit procedures, product lines and prices change. Nothing here is a professional opinion about your specific house, and no page should be relied on in place of a site visit or a permit review. The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind about its content, availability or fitness for a purpose.

13. Limitation of liability for the website

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you arising out of your use of this website is limited to $100.

Nothing in this section limits our liability for work performed under a signed contract, and nothing here waives any right you have under NRS chapter 624. This clause is about the website. It is not a construction-defect waiver, and it could not be one if we wrote it that way.

14. Indemnification

If you misuse this site (scraping it, submitting someone else’s details, using it to send unsolicited messages, or breaking the law with it), you agree to indemnify Advanced Design & Development, Inc. against claims arising from that misuse. This does not apply to anything arising from work we performed.

15. Notices

Legal notice to the company goes to Advanced Design & Development, Inc., 1155 Watson Way, Suite 7, Sparks, NV 89431.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The revision is effective when posted here with an updated effective date, and it applies to use of the site after that date. A revision does not change a contract you have already signed.

17. Severability

If a court finds any provision here unenforceable, the rest stays in force. A provision void under NRS 624.970(5) is void and the remainder is unaffected.
